CHANGES IN THE ORGANIZATIONAL SYSTEM An Ethnographic Study of Orang Rimba in the Bukit Dua Belas National Park of Jambi Province

Abstract

This research generally discusses the causes of changes in the Domestic Suku Anak Dalam system or commonly called the Kubu Tribe or Orang Rimba who are in the Bukit Dua Belas National Park Terap, Jambi Province. This discussion focuses on the description of the split strategy of the Ketemenggungan system in dealing with transmigrants and oil palm and rubber companies’ issues who  started to open plantations in the area of ​​authority. The method used is a qualitative research approach with an ethnographic study type. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, documentation, and literature studies. Data analysis techniques are carried out by describing the problems that occur in the field. The initial step was carried out by sorting and classifying the data verbally (orally), meaning data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then elaborated in the form of questions that are relevant to the situation in the field without intending to compare or confirm. The results showed that the change in the Ketemenggungan Organization system in the Bukit Dua Belas National Park was due to the large number of transmigration residents and PTs who cleared land within their territory.
